At international level this will never be acheived. At club and international level it has been.



Officially Pele. But there was the Great Hungarian - the Galloping Major Ferenc Puskas who claims to have scored over 1000. It is believable - he had 83 in 82 games for the national team.



Some records, and the question of the status of some of his games in communist Hungary meant that some did not count, some not recorded officially.

Nobody will ever score 1000 Goals in international soccer. Pele scored over 1000 Goals in his career (Santos,Brazil and New Year Cosmos). He scored over 90 odd goals in his internationals(games played for Brazil)
